Commissioned by the Chinese Canadian Museum, the postcard design celebrates the legacy of Mr. Yip Sang and the Wing Sang Building, the oldest brick structure in Vancouver’s Chinatown, depicting its three major expansions over time. The artwork highlights the iconic red brick facade, the original Wing Sang & Co signage, and the evolving livelihood of the Yip family, who once called this building home. From its early days as a merchant hub to its present role as the Chinese Canadian Museum, the Wing Sang building stands as a testament to resilience, community, and cultural heritage.
